NewsChannel 9 crews are back from the scene of a bank robbery in Chattanooga. It happened late this morning at the Suntrust on Brainerd Road.

Chattanooga Police spokesperson Kim Noorbergan says the bank was robbed at 9:51 am by the man pictured... a white man of medium build, short curly grey hair, T-shirt and jeans.

The man walked in and asked a teller for $2,000. He told the teller no one would get hurt if everyone complied. After getting the cash, the man fled on foot. They don't know if he was armed or not.

If you recognize this man or have other information that can help, please call Chattanooga Police Department or the FBI's Safe Street Task (SSTF) at 423-265-3601.
