Police Scanner Forum.

I am new to the Forum and I have a bearcat scanner. When I lived in Michigan I could receive many frequencies now I live in Nebraska and after adding new frequencies I do not get as many. Somebody told me I should get a police scanner that picks up analog and digital ?

I am home bound in a wheelchair and like listening to the scanner and use the scanner for weather warnings also . I was looking at this scanner ''Whistler Desktop Digital Trunking Scanner''? Any ideas would be great.

Any scanner I do choose I would like to upgrade from the telescoping antenna  to a outdoor antenna .
